As part of my trip I took a 2hr drive back to the Virunga mountains where I saw the gorillas. I was in awe of the beauty of the patchwork patterns as every hill was being farmed and cultivated. In the distance you could see tiny figures working in the fields and many tiny shiny silver rooves of all the huts.
